The World is Watching

July 27, 2009

On Tuesday July 28 at 7:30pm, Buena Vida Fitness Centre in San Juan del Sur will screen the English version of “The World is Watching” for their Documentary Film Night.

“The world is watching” focuses on several journalists working in Nicaragua during the negotiations surrounding the Arias Peace Plan in November 1987. It examines how the news business works, revealing the inevitable distortions that become part of the process. This film was directed by award winning Canadian film maker, Peter Rammont and was the winner of many international awards.

Last week, Buena Vida showed another film by Rammont to a sell-out crowd of over 30 as well as the Spanish version of The World is Watching.  Due to technical difficulties last week the English track was not working on the film, so it will be screened this week in English.  Next week they plan on showing the follow-up film “The World Stopped Watching“.

This is an unique opportunity to see these two historic and highly important films. Admission is Free.
